Students are introduced to computer aided design (CAD) software to create a 3D model designs that can be produced on a 3D printer.
Students created and customized balloon-powered cars. Students engineered real-working cars. Children used the precut pieces to decorate and build a car and put it into action! Then kids tested and fine-tuned their creation and raced their cars against each other. The materials used were chipboard car bodies, plastic wheels, foam blocks, straws, axles, balloons, and rubber bands. The car bodies measured 6" in length. |
